Operator Security
A security management system must control access to sensitive
data using sophisticated methods. Excel Security Manager has
the ability to ensure data security.
Sign On
Each operator has a unique identification and password. Their
security profile activates once they successfully sign on to the
system. However, operators can be restricted, so that they can
only sign on at certain stations, and at certain times. The system
enforces regular password changes and restricts a password
being re-used.
Areas
Excel Security Manager's sophisticated operator security
features ensure focus and accountability. Data may be partitioned
so that operators only see the information applicable to their
area. For example, partitioning one building as an area enables
an operator to efficiently monitor and control only the assigned
area/ building.
Security Levels
A system of security levels restricts the fields a person can edit
and the operations they can perform.
Control Levels
Control levels allow select operators to manually control doors,
locks, or sensors, while denying other operators.
Command Assignment
Command assignment enables you to restrict control of the
individual states of an output. So an operator can lock a door, but
can not unlock it.

Through area partitioning, operators are
assigned to monitor certain areas. This
prevents them from viewing data from any
other part of the system. |
