Alarm Management
Excel Security Manager immediately notifies operators of any attempted security
violations. Alarms are communicated through:
An alarm line that is visible on every display
Dynamic illustration and animation on custom displays
An alarm summary page that displays every alarm in the system, color coded to
indicate severity
Audible tones or .wav files
You can choose what constitutes an alarm, and its priority. Alarms can be associated
with any or all point states; each with a fine degree of priorities and subpriorities.
Operators can respond to the highest priority alarms first, because the alarm summary
page can sort and filter all alarms by priority.
Excel Security Manager displays all information necessary for responding to an alarm,
including pinpointing exactly where the alarm is occurring. And with the advanced alarm
management option, Excel Security Manager lists the appropriate procedure for handling
the incident, and requires operators to record their actual response.
All actions are journaled into an event file and are available for later reporting and
analysis.

Structured Response Management ensures that alarms are
processed consistently and operator actions are recorded
accurately. |
