Complete Sliding Door
System
Horton offers single source responsibility with a complete system that includes the door,
operator and sensor system. Strong Rugged
Construction
Sliding doors can be built to withstand winds of up to 165 MPH. Door stiles are made of
extruded tubular aluminum alloy.
Emergency Egress Doors Swing Out
A patented prestressed torsion bar concealed in the sliding panel allows Horton Automatics
sliding doors to breakout for emergency egress and then self-close after breakout.
Doors with this feature are listed by
Underwriters Laboratories.
Energy Efficient
An auto-seal energy feature ensures the doors are closed and Horton doors have the
protection of adjustable astragal with double mohair weather stripping. For seasonal
adjustments, a switch that limits the opening size is available. A spring keeps the swing
panel closed.
National Code Approval
Horton Automatics doors are built to meet national building code egress requirements, ANSI
standards for pedestrian doors and the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990
requirements for barrier-free entrances.
Standard products are UL listed and custom
products are constructed to meet or exceed the UL, CSA, BOCA and ICBO requirements.
