Operators
Horton Automatics manufactures three automatic sliding door commercial operators. Each operator, Series 2000, 2001 and 2003, has features that are unique and each has common features.

Series 2000 Linear Drive Operator

  • Slim 4" x 6" (102 x 152) header can support standard commercial doors weighing up to 200 lbs. (91kg) total weight.
  • Mechanical fail-safe clutch which limits the closing force to 28 lbs. (13kg).
  • Door position switches provide feedback to control.

Series 2001 Belt Drive Operator

  • Heavy-duty 6" x 8" (152 x 203) header, gear train and wheel assemblies to support doors up to 300 lbs. (227kg) total weight.
  • Worm gear set for quiet operation, durability and reliability.
  • Steel reinforced polyurethane 1" (25) belt with nylon jacket.
  • Encoder based operator provides constant door position feedback.
  • Best choice for wide door openings.

Series 2003 Belt Drive Operator

  • Heavy-duty 6" x 6" (152 x 152) header, gear train and wheel assemblies to support doors up to 200 lbs. total weight.
  • Worm gear set for quiet operation, durability and reliability.
  • Heavy-duty replaceable track and 3/4" (17) nylon reinforced neoprene belt.
  • Encoder based operator provides constant door position feedback.

Common Features

Operator

  • 1/8 hp motor, a 1/4 hp motor that can be used with the same gear is optional for the Series 2001 operator.

Door Construction
The door construction is the same for each operator, but the header size will vary according to operator series. See details below.

  • Replaceable top/bottom track, track caps and four wheels per panel.

Microprocessor Control

  • Microprocessor control with a digital display for visual adjustment capabilities to provide precise door control and braking for faster door openings and testing of electrical functions.
  • Aries, an optional remote adjustment of door operation.
  • Built-in memory to provide various options such as partial open, automatic lock and exterior cutoff of detectors.
  • Auto-seal energy feature ensures the doors are closed.
  • Programmable, adjustable partial opening allows the opening size to be adjusted for weather conditions.
