Automatic Swing
Door Operators

Series 4800 swing door operator.

Horton Automatics has an excellent operator for automatic swing door applications. The operator can be mounted in an overhead concealed side load header, a bottom load header or a surface applied side load header. The overhead concealed operator offers a clean attractive appearance and blends into any storefront design. The surface applied operator is easily installed on fire walls or for automating existing doors.

Horton offers a wide variety of swing door operators to meet different types of applications.

Depending on the application, the hardware or mounting will be different. Complete door packages are also offered. Each package within a series has the same operator.

The Series 4000 electric operator provides easy access and maintains smooth traffic flow in high traffic situations requiring a fast opening.

The Series 7000 and 4000 LE low-energy operators, due to their slow speed opening characteristics, eliminate the need for guide rails and swing area detection systems. They are the perfect solution to create low-cost, barrier-free openings.

Series 4000 LE is a heavy-duty, low-energy operator that should
be used to open heavy or large doors and when extreme traffic conditions exist. Series 4000 LE has the same heavy-duty gear and motor as Series 4000 but a special control reduces the opening
speed/force.

Horton Automatics also offers the Series 5000 pneumatic operator to move heavy industrial doors or for explosion proof option.

All swing door operators have the standard feature of time delay. The variable time delay can be set between 2 to 28 seconds.

We suggest the architect/designer consult a Horton Automatics distributor or a factory representative if there is a need for a recommendation of which operator is best for his particular installation.

Type Mounting Method/Hardware/Door
100 Surface applied swing door operator
500 Overhead concealed swing door package (including door panels)
600 Overhead concealed direct drive operator
800 Overhead concealed operator only (door by others)
900 Surface applied operator with fire latch actuator

The last three digits of a swing door series number indicates the application type.
For example: A 4100 means a Series 4000 electric surface applied swing door.
