| The Grand revolving door, a complete vestibule system, adds a
uniquely engaging design element to any entrance. Their generous proportions are
especially well suited to hospitals and hotels, supermarkets and department stores,
airports and office buildings. With their spacious
welcoming compartments, Grand doors manage high-volume traffic safely and effectively,
ushering users on their way with a smooth, continuous rotation. Available in diameters of
12' (3.7m), 14' (4.2m), 16' (4.8m),
18' (5.5m) or 20' (6m), the Grand series easily accommodates large objects such as skis,
bicycles and grocery carts. The 14', 16', 18' and 20' doors accept hospital stretchers as
well.
Activated by motion detectors, Grand revolving doors
offer adjustable door speed (0.5-4 rpm) and are equipped with an overspeed governor. A
reduced-speed feature allows easy passage for slow-moving users or large parcels and
incorporates a solid-state voice module to direct and warn users. Unlike conventional
revolving doors, the Grands self-centering wings maintain an air seal between inner
and outer environments at all times, yet they easily swing for emergency egress.
Grand revolving doors are equipped with eight flush-mounted
energy-efficient lighting fixtures and with manual locking on the core and two wings. A
display core is standard on the three-wing design, optional on four-wing Grands. |
