SpecWriterTM
SpecWriter is the PC-based program for indoor and outdoor illuminance calculations.
SpecWriter uses standard IES formatting photometric files and can be configured to read
IES files from
hard drive, floppy disk or CD-ROM. It accommodates both A/C and B type
photometry. Looking for a particular photometric file? SpecWriter's Look Up utility can
access over 1400
photometric files from its database. If you have the hardware then you Ire ready to easily
and quickly calculate:
horizontal and/or vertical unwanted
calculation points for
either indoor or outdoor lighting applications;
mask areas to exclude unwanted calculation
points to simulate irregular shaped areas without using multiple grids;
automatic masking for baseball/softball
including either circular or segmented outfields;
aiming of floodlights by specification of
BearingTilt-Cant or by (X,Y, Z) aiming points on surface to be illuminated;
quick estimate for regular shaped indoor and
outdoor areas;
Writes xxx.DXF files to allow interface with
Autodesk's AutoCAD (AutoCAD is a registered trademark of AutoDesk, Inc.);
