The non-metallic Vaportite Series is specifically designed
to withstand the harshest of environments. The thermoplastic housing provides rugged
durability and long life in industrial applications where ammonia, chlorine, salts or
other corrosive agents exist. Threads are molded in and will not seize, even after long
exposure to the corrosive elements. All exterior hardware is solid brass. IP suitability
— IP46
Construction
Luminaires are constructed of 30% glass filled
thermoplastic polyester for high strength and impact resistance. Housing features a
molded-in, non-fading gray finish.
Mounting
Three mounting options are available including pendant,
ceiling, and bracket. Pendant and ceiling mounts are available as complete unit packs.
Bracket mount is achieved by field addition of an arm mount adapter to a standard ceiling
mount unit. The threaded conduit opening is 3/4".
Guard
All unit packs come complete with threaded thermoplastic
guards for globe protection.
Globe
Clear glass with a choice of standard, a special heat
resistant version or polycarbonate.
Wattage
Incandescent unit accommodates up to 150 watt Type A21
lamp. For marine applications, the maximum wattage is 100, lamp not included. The
fluorescent unit is supplied with a Dulux D/E 18 watt quad-tube lamp. The solid state
electronic fluorescent ballast provides a minimum starting temperature of -25°C
(-13°F).

ACCESSORIES/COMPONENTS
Note: For standard incandescent unit, supply
wire temperature requirement is 125°C and label states, "Not For Use In
Dwellings". For 90°C supply wire option, add -LT to catalog number. Consult factory
for price and availability.
Note: For standard fluorescent unit, supply wire requirement is
60°C.
Note: Fixtures shipped complete with globe and guard. Colored
globes from 150 watt vaportite series are interchangeable for field replacement.
