CLASSIC 7000 SERIES

CLASSIC® 7000 SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Product to be Hufcor Classic (select model from Chart A below) as manufactured by Hufcor Inc.
  2. Panel Construction shall be nominally 4" (100mm) thick, and up to 48-1/2" (1232mm) in width.
  1. Faces shall be of Class "A" rated material assembled to appropriate acoustical backing to meet the STC requirement.
  2. Frames shall be of anodized aluminum designed to capture edges of face material.
  3. Vertical edges of panels will be protected with full-height trim.
  4. Hinges (for paired panels and continuously hinged) shall be recessed and project no more than 1/4" (6mm) from face.
  1. Seals
  1. Vertical Sound Seals: Shall be deep-nesting tongue and groove type.
  2. Top Seals: 7500, 7600, 7700: Horizontal top seals to be retractable and provide 1" (25mm) nom. operating clearance and constant pressure when extended. 7500FS, 7900M, 7900E, 7900G: Horizontal top seals to be fixed.
  3. Floor Seals: 7500, 7600, 7900E & M: Horizontal floor seals to be retractable and provide 1-3/4" (44mm) nom. operating clearance and constant force when extended.

    4. 7700: Horizontal floor seals to be retractable and provide a nom. 4" (100mm) bottom clearance. 7500FS, 7900G: Horizontal floor seals to be fixed.

  1. Suspension System for 7500, 7600, 7700, 7900E, M & G shall be life cycle tested 100 miles (161km), (approx. 10 years) and consist of:
  1. Clear anodized architectural grade 6063-T6 extruded aluminum track.
  2. Each panel shall be supported by polymer-tired, steel ball bearing carriers as follows:

    3. 7500: One 4-wheeled carrier assembly. 7600, 7700: Two 2-wheeled carrier assemblies. 7900E, M & G: One 8-wheeled carried assembly on each panel.

  3. Suspension System for 7500FS shall consist of a top track guide of architectural-grade extruded aluminum. Floor track to be min. 16 ga. stainless steel. Each panel shall be supported by one top and one bottom carrier. Bottom carrier to support 90% of the panel weight.
  1. Finishes
  1. Standard face finish shall be factory-applied reinforced vinyl fabric with woven backing. Color to be selected from manufacturer's standard color selectors.
  2. Premium surfaces to be selected from manufacturer's standard color selectors.
  1. Vertical ribbed carpet.
  2. Woven polyolefin stain-resistant fabric.
  1. Approved non-standard material.
  2. Panels may be unfinished for field finishing.
  3. Trim shall be (select one): Bronze, Clear Anodized.
  4. Custom painted or color anodized.
  1. Operation
  1. Models 7500, 7600, 7700 & 7900M shall be top supported and manually operated.
  2. Retractable seals for Models 7500, 7600, & 7700 shall be activated by a removable quick-set operating key located at waist height in panel edge.
  3. Retractable seals for Model 7900M shall set automatically when panels are flattened in the opening.
  4. 7900E & 7900G shall be top supported and electrically operated.
  5. 7500FS shall be floor supported and manually operated.
  1. Final Partition Closure to be by: 7500, 7500FS, 7600, 7700: Lever Closure Panel with expanding jamb exerting min. 250 lbs. (114 kg) constant force against wall. Optional for 7500 & 7500FS to 12'2" (3.708m): Hinged Closure Panel permanently attached to structural wall and of same construction as basic panels. Seals shall be fixed. Continuously Hinged: 7900M: Horizontal retractable floor seals set automatically when panels are flattened in the opening. 7900E & 7900G: The motor drive unit shall close and seal the opening.
  2. Acoustics The partition shall have been tested by an independent acoustical consultant at a laboratory accredited by the National Bureau of Standards in accordance with ASTM E90 and have an acoustical rating of no less than _______ STC (select desired rating from Chart B below). Complete, unedited written test report by the testing agency is to be made available upon request.
  3. Warranty. The product shall be guaranteed for two years against defects in material and workmanship.

  1. Not all substrates are available for all STCs. Check with your distributor.
  2. Estimated standard panel weight. Weight will vary based on size, substrate, and options. Allow approximately 3.6 lbs./lin. ft. (5.31 kg/m) for track. Add 120 lbs. (54 kg) for pass door; add 40 lbs. (18 kg) for Lever Closure Panel.

DECORATIVE SURFACES TIP

For optimal design flexibility, Hufcor's operable walls are available with factory-or field-applied surfaces. Many non-standard surfaces can be applied in our factory. However, when more ornate surfaces are desired, such as custom moldings, wood surfaces, chair rails, mirrors, pattern matches, etc., we can ship the panels unfinished. Field finishing will allow you to precisely match your room decor by aligning  the partition design elements with the perimeter walls.

When selecting non-standard decorative surfaces, make sure they are easy to clean. Panel surfaces must standard up to normal everyday use. To keep panels looking new, double check that hand prints and scuff marks wipe away easily.

Our Classic 7000 Series is also available with segmented surfaces. To resist bumps from vacuums, or cart and chair movement, choose MDF or steel with a durable finish for the bottom portion of the panel. Then, tackable and/or decorative surfaces may be applied to the upper sections for total design flexibility.
