PATHFINDER 5000R^® SPECIFICATIONS

1. Product to be Hufcor Pathfinder (select model from Chart A)  as manufactured by Hufcor Inc.
2. Panel Construction shall be nominally 3" (76mm) thick, and up to 48" (1219mm) in width.

1. Faces shall be of Class "A" rated material assembled to appropriate acoustical backing to meet the STC requirement.
2. Frames shall be painted steel and formed to capture edges of face material.
3. Vertical edges of panels will be protected with full-height trim.
4. Hinges (for paired panels and continuously hinged) shall be recessed and project no more than 1/4" (6mm) from face.

3. Seals

1. Vertical Sound Seals Shall be dual durometer deep-nesting interlocking type, one end of panel.
2. Top Seals: 5500R, 5600R & 5900M& E: Horizontal top seals to be fixed. Optional for Series 5500R/5600R: Horizontal top seals to be retractable and provide 1" (25mm) nom. operating clearance and constant force when extended. 5200: Horizontal top seals to be retractable and provide 1-3/4" (44mm) nom. operating clearance and constant force when extended.
3. Floor Seals: 5500R, 5600R: Horizontal floor seals to be retractable and provide 2" (50mm) nom. operating clearance and constant force when extended.

5200, 5900M: Horizontal floor seals to be retractable and provide 1" (25mm) nom. operating clearance and constant force when extended. 5200, 5900M: Horizontal floor seals to be retractable and provide 1" (25mm) nom. operating clearance.

Optional: 5500R, 5600R, 5900M: Horizontal floor seals shall be fixed. 5900E: Horizontal floor seals shall be fixed.

4. Suspension System shall be life cycle tested 100 miles (161km), (approx. 10 years) and consist of:

1. Clear anodized architectural grade 6063-T6 extruded aluminum track.
2. Each panel shall be supported by polymer-tired, steel ball bearing carriers as follows:

5500R: One 4-wheeled carrier assembly. 5600R, 5200: Two 2-wheeled carrier assemblies. 5900E & M: One 8-wheeled carried assembly on each panel.

5. Finishes To be

1. Standard face finish shall be factory-applied reinforced vinyl fabric with woven backing. Color to be selected from manufacturer's standard color selectors.
2. Premium surfaces to be selected from manufacturer's standard color selectors:

1. Vertical ribbed carpet.
2. Woven polyolefin stain-resistant fabric.

3. Approved non-standard material.
4. Panels may be unfinished for field finishing.
5. Trim shall be (select one): Brown, Gray.

6. Operation

1. 5500R, 5600R, & 5900M: shall be top supported and manually operated. Model 5200: Shall be top supported and manually operated. The weight of the panel shall transfer to the floor when seals are extended.
2. Retractable seals for Models 5500R/5600R/5200 shall be activated by a removable quick-set operating key located at waist height in panel edge.
3. 5900E shall  be top supported and electrically operated.

7. Final Partition Closure to be by: 5500R/5600R/5200: Lever Closure Panel with expanding jamb exerting min. 250 lbs. (114 kg) constant force against wall. Panel shall be of same construction as basic panels. Optional for 5500R to 12'2" (3.708m): Hinged Closure Panel permanently attached to structural wall and of same construction as basic panels. Seals shall be fixed. Continuously Hinged: 5900M: Horizontal retractable floor seals automatically set when panels are positioned in the opening. 5900E: The motor drive unit shall close and seal the opening.
8. Acoustics The partition shall have been tested by an independent acoustical consultant at a laboratory accredited by the National Bureau of Standards in accordance with ASTM E90 and have an acoustical rating of no less than _______ STC (select desired rating from Chart B). Complete, unedited written test report by the testing agency is to be made available upon request.
9. Warranty. The product shall be guaranteed for two years against defects in material and workmanship.

CHART A PATHFINDER 5000R PRODUCT SELECTOR

¹ 5500R & 5600R also available with retractable top seal. All models (except 5200) available with fixed floor seals.

² Use of optional face materials may affect stack dimensions. For 5500R with optional Hinged Closure Panel, allow 3-1/2" (89mm) per panel +4" (100mm).

³ When using Type 40 track, allow 4" (100mm) per panel +4" (100mm).

¹ Not all substrates are available for all STCs. Check with your distributor.

² Estimated standard panel weight. Weight will vary based on size, substrate, and options. Allow approximately 3.6 lbs./lin. ft. (1.62 kg/m) for track. Add 120 lbs. (54 kg) for pass door; add 40 lbs. (18 kg) for Lever Closure Panel.
