 Why wood you ask? That's easy, not only is it beautiful, it's nature's best
insulator and, it's a renewable resource as well as structurally proven to be superior,
just like our construction craftsmanship. Every joint of our sashes and frames is
precisely fit, then each assembled unit is treated with a water repellent preservative for
extended durability.
Choose Primed Wood or Low Maintenance
Aluminum Clad Units.
 Our Primed Wood Windows are painted with an exterior primer
and give you the warmth and beauty of natural wood on their interior surfaces.
Our Aluminum Clad Windows offer you the same warmth and  beauty of wood on
their interior, but the exterior facings are "wrapped" in a touch armor of
thick, extruded aluminum that virtually eliminates maintenance hassles. The cladding can
be electrostatically painted in your choice of six standard colors or a broad selection of
custom colors.

Our quality control team at Hurd is very demanding. Second best
doesn't exist in their world. That's why you'll only find the most reliable hardware
components on our products.  The kind that makes the difference between windows and patio doors that work,
and those that work perfectly...year after year and in all types of conditions. From
hinges and latches to crank systems and locks, if they pass our stringent approvals, rest
assured they'll pass yours.
