Bathtub and Fitting Colors

Color Selection  The color of your new Hydro Systems product is one of the most important aspects of the purchase. Hydro Systems offers a wide spectrum of colors to give you the freedom to make choices. Many of the colors shown on the front are registered names belonging to such major fixture manufacturers as Kohler, Eljer, and American Standard, as well as other manufacturers. The reproductions on this page are as accurate as will allow. We suggest that you consult with your dealer regarding exact colors prior to making your final purchase. As new colors come available they will be added to our list. Should you need a color not shown, please contact Hydro Systems for availability

Acrylic Surfaces  Hydro Systems offers its acrylic products in the colors shown. Acrylic bathtubs and showers are manufactured by vacuum forming a heated sheet of acrylic into the bathtub shape. The formed sheet of acrylic is then reinforced with fiberglass for strength. An acrylic surface is superior for its high gloss, ease of cleaning, resistance to cracking and fading, ease of repair and its thermal insulation properties.

Gel Coat Surfaces  Hydro Systems offers most of our products with a gel coat finish in the colors shown. Gel coat bathtubs and showers are made by spraying a thick layer of gel coat paint onto a mold. The hardened layer of gel coat is reinforced with fiberglass for strength. The gel coat surface is superior for its nearly unlimited color selection, ease of repair and its thermal insulation properties. Gel coat also tends to be a little less costly to manufacture than a comparable acrylic part.
