Residential Elevators & Stairway Lifts
Setting the standard of quality. Custom-built but not custom-priced. Not just for the handicapped but a modern convenience in any home.
UA/Uses, Applications For most people, climbing the stairs is at best a nuisance, particularly if you have to do it several times a day. And to an individual handicapped by injury, infirmity or age-it can be a genuine health hazard. Or an outright impossibility. For whatever reason you wish to avoid climbing stairs, Inclinator Company of America has several ways to help you. On these pages, you see one of them: Elevette Elevette is the home elevator that sets the standard of quality for an entire industry. It's attractive, easy to install, and rugged enough for day-in, day-out duty. It handles weights of 500 or 750 pounds. (The maximum in most residential elevator codes), and when specified in the largest size (36" deep by 48" wide), can normally accommodate a wheelchair patient and attendant. What's more, the Elevette is adaptable to use in the open (between two floors) or enclosed in a shaft (for serving two or more floors) with maximum 50 ft. travel. Here are "Elevettes" key advantages: Custom Construction - There's no standard Elevette size; ideal widths and depths are determined by customers' individual needs and available space (up to 12 square feet maximum). A wide selection of different panel materials is offered. The motor and operating mechanism can be located in the basement, attic or adjacent to shaft at one of the landings; there's no unsightly, expensive overhead apparatus. Adaptability to Your Decor - Consider the many decorative options Elevette gives you. Cars can be custom-color finished. Steel or cane metal panels can be finished in solid colors or wood grained effects. And extra-cost interior panels - covered with a decorative laminate, clear or tinted acrylic or lustrous, natural-finish hardwoods - are offered. Safety Devices - The Elevette is equipped with broken cable instantaneous safety, overrun switch, slack cable mainline disconnect switch and car gate and hatch door interlocks. On two landing open type installations, we furnish additionally a safety stop diaphragm suspended from bottom of car which stops the descent of car on contact with an object, together with a pressure-sensitive interlocked floor door at top landing. Safety floating gate is available. (An auxiliary guide rail can be included, adding extra rigidity). Easy Operation - The Elevette is operated by momentary-pressure automatic controls in the car and call buttons installed on each floor. It runs on 2209 V.1ph house current. Economy - Elevette is easier and less expensive to install, thanks to its patented cantilever suspension; the car operates on a single specially formed steel channel. Under normal conditions its electricity usage is very moderate, which holds your costs down. Durability - Elevette employs a three-part formula for long service life: simple design, top-quality materials and superior craftsmanship. The result? Many have been in service for decades.
