Louvered Penthouses

Louvered penthouses are ruggedly constructed units that allow for the most efficient movement of air over rooftop openings. An extra performance louver blade design is standard, but any of the drainable, stationary or adjustable louvers in this catalog can be used for a rooftop opening.

Standard construction consists of continuous louver blades on all four sides, with mitered and welded corners. Mullions and box corners are also available. The roof is mechanically attached for easy access to the interior. Roof insulation and sound-absorbing material can be incorporated into the design.

Extruded Aluminum Brick or Block Vents

Our highly economical brick or block vents are available in many sizes.

The vents are used in a variety of foundation, boiler and incinerator room, crawl space and air conditioning intake applications. Vents can be provided with or without dampers or connecting ducts.

Insect & Bird Screens

ILI offers a complete line of screens for all extruded aluminum and formed metal louvers. Please consult your ILI representative or the factory for availability of various screen types and gauges.

Blank-Offs

ILI offers many choices of blank-off, depending upon the requirements. The most common is the .032" aluminum sheet finished on one side in either baked enamel or Kynar. Other aluminum sheets are available in the following thicknesses: .040", .050", .080" and .125".

When an insulated blank-off is required, we suggest a 1" material in a core that meets insulation and/or code requirements. The core should be faced on one or both sides with a .032" aluminum sheet that is finished as noted above. If a perimeter cap is needed, it should be .063" extruded aluminum.
