SUBJECT: ASTM E-162

FLAMMABILITY TESTING

OF CULTURED MARBLE

LAVATORY SPECIMENS.

TEST REPORT

MATERIALS DESCRIPTIONS:

Sample materials of INTROSUL INC. normal production variety Cultured Marble consisting of Molded Marble dusts and other fillers together with Polyester resins were provided for Laboratory testing for Flame resistance characteristics.

Materials were molded and/or cut into test specimens measuring 6" x 18" by 3/4" full section thickness.

TEST METHOD:

Flammability Testing was conducted in accordance with ASTM E-162-81a, Standard test Method for "SURFACE FLAMMABILITY OF MATERIALS USING A RADIANT HEAT ENERGY SOURCE".

This test method represents a severe exposure of the Materials test surfaces to the heat produced over the entire test surface area by a gas fired radiant burner.

ASTM E-162 is included within this reporting as additional information for reference purposes in its entirety ( 7 Pages)

TEST PARTICULAR:

Test Specimens were conditioned prior to testing in accordance with the specified particulars of Paragraph 6.1 as to predrying 24 Hrs. @ 140 F, with further conditioning to 73 F, 50% R.H. for 12 Hrs before initiation of the test cycles.

NUMBER OF TEST SPECIMENS:

Four (4) individual specimens were tested individually.
