JM APP™ Base Sheet

Description
JM APP Base is an APP modified bitumen sheet. It incorporates the features of a tough JM glass fiber mat that is
saturated and coated with a blend of APP (Atactic Polypropylene) polymer and high quality asphalt. JM APP Base
has a construction that is extremely durable. The premium APP asphalt blend is formulated to provide excellent
physical properties for ease of installation and long-term roof performance. The glass fiber mat provides tensile
strength and dimensional stability and can accommodate stresses created by typical rooftop expansion and
contraction forces. The top and bottom surfaces of the sheet are lightly sanded enabling the product to be applied in
cold adhesive, by heat welding or by mechanical fasteners.
Use
JM APP Base is designed for use as a modified bitumen base sheet or as an interply sheet in a multiple-ply APP
roofing system. This product may be installed using mechanical fasteners, heat-welding application techniques or
in JM MBR® Cold Application Adhesive.
Advantages
- The glass fiber mat provides tensile and dimensional stability properties.
- The premium quality APP blend allows for excellent weathering characteristics.
- The product’s flexibility provides for ease of handling, resulting in quick installations.

Classic™ Premium FR

Description
Classic Premium FR is a fire-retardant PAO modified bitumen sheet. It incorporates the features of a tough, 250
g/m2, continuous filament, nonwoven, polyester mat that is saturated and coated with a blend of polyalphaolefin
(PAO) polymer, high quality asphalt and fire-retardant additives. Classic Premium FR has a construction that
provides an extremely durable sheet with excellent weathering properties. The premium PAO asphalt blend is
formulated to provide excellent physical properties for ease of installation and long-term roof performance. The
polyester mat provides exceptional tensile strength, toughness and puncture resistance and can accommodate
stresses created by typical rooftop expansion and contraction forces. The covering layer of ceramic-coated roofing
granules provides durability along with superior resistance to damage from weather and foot traffic. The white
granular surface also provides heat reflectance. The back of the sheet has a sanded surface. PAO products may be
installed in hot asphalt, JM MBR® Cold Application Adhesive or by using heat-welding application techniques.
Use
Classic Premium FR is designed for use as a premium, modified bitumen cap sheet. It is ideal for low-slope
applications (inclines up to 3" per foot [250 mm/m]), and is recommended for this application with Type IV asphalt
only. Because of its excellent weatherability, durability and handling characteristics, Classic Premium FR may be
used both as a modified bitumen cap sheet and as a flashing material. UL Class A ratings may be obtained in
numerous constructions, both new and reroof at slopes up to ½" per foot (41.6 mm/m). Classic Premium FR may
also be installed in JM MBR® Bonding Cement, JM MBR® Cold Application Adhesive or by heat weld application.
Advantages
- The polyester mat provides excellent puncture and tear resistance
- The premium quality PAO blend allows for excellent weathering characteristics
- The PAO blend allows for a full range of application techniques.
- The product’s flexibility provides for ease of handling and quick installation
