and LumenEssence Lamping Options Function...Lighting that works perfectly in any location, for any application. Ambiance Collection and LumenEssence fixtures can be specified to meet any need. Anywhere. Justice can supply the appropriate lamping configuration for both energy efficiency and light quality. Standard incandescent: Each ceramic fixture comes standard with a socket for an incandescent lamp. All sockets are equipped with nickel-plated screwshells for a long, corrosion-free life. All leads are rated at 150°C. Fluorescent: Most Ambiance Collection and LumenEssence sconces, both indoor and outdoor, can be specified with either a single (PL1) or double (PL2) compact fluorescent socket and ballast setup. Special Ballasts: Our standard fluorescent setups are equipped with thermally protected magnetic ballasts for 13 Watt lamps. Many of our fixtures can be specified with alternate ballasts, including:
Halogen: Many fixtures in the Ambiance Collection can be specified for use with a halogen lamp. Some of these are configured with a socket and protective glass for a 78mm, 150 Watt max, type T-2-1/2 double-ended RSC lamp. Others use medium-base porcelain sockets, and are designed for use with T-10 encapsulated halogen lamps. Indoor or outdoor: All Ambiance Collection and LumenEssence fixtures come standard with a UL listing of Suitable for Damp Locations. This means they can be used indoors or outdoor, provided they are protected from direct contact with rain or falling water. If the fixture will be mounted where exposure to rain is anticipated, one of our Outdoor "Suitable for Wet Locations" models should be chosen. These fixtures are identified by the "W" suffix in the model number (e.g. 995W). Justice's wet location fixtures fall into two categories: sheltered socket and outdoor downlight. Sheltered socket fixtures have a justice exclusive polycarbonate shelter which covers the socket and lamp to protect them from water. This category includes our open-top cylinders (945W, 995W, 1265W, 1295W, 2600W, all LumenEssence fixtures in the 7300W and 7400W series), the Step and Terrace fixtures (2200W series), and the Greek Columns (4705W and 4715W). In addition, 1555W is available with a wet location shelter for fluorescent (PL) lamping only. Outdoor downlights do not require a shelter, because the ceramic itself protects the socket and lamp from falling water. This category includes closed-top small and ADA cylinders (940W, 5400W, and 5500W). In addition, several of our sconces can be used as outdoor downlights when rotated from the traditional orientation so that the opening faces down. Examples of this include the Small Quarter Sphere (1300W), the Small Scoop (2900W), and the ADA Large Ambis (5850W). Glass diffuser: For applications where sconces may be viewed from above, several models are available with glass diffusers to shield the view. Diffusers are only to be used with incandescent or PL lamping; they are not appropriate for halogen lamps. Model 4700 shown in Carrera finish (STOC)
