All Justice fixtures come standard unfinished in paintable Bisque ceramic. From there, the options are limitless. Whether left in earthy Bisque, painted at the jobsite, or finished by Justice artisans, uniquely versatile Justice fixtures are icons of potential in any space.

Paint it yourself...

Bisque (unfinished) should be specified if you plan to paint your fixture. We recommend that you prime the fixture, then apply two or three coats of flat or semi-gloss water based paint made for drywall or plaster walls and ceilings using a spray gun or a clean, high-quality brush. You may also want to use stenciling, sponging, or other creative techniques to customize the fixture to the environment where it will be installed.

Our finishing department treats each fixture as a unique work of art. All finishes are applied individually using the highest quality materials, many specially formulated to our unique specifications.

Your options include:

Faux finishes: Using many layers of paint and special decorating techniques, our artisans hand paint realistic, almost tangible faux marble and patina finishes. The fixture is then lacquered for a long-lasting finish.

Solid painted colors: Specify a color from the Benjamin Moore color system, and we will apply a smooth, consistent, high-quality color - to one fixture, or to one hundred.

Metallic leafs: Using time-honored gilding processes, we can apply gold, silver, or copper leaf to any of our fixtures.

Glazes: Our lustrous glazes add a wonderful richness to any sconce profile. More than just a color coat, it is a finish created by kiln-firing colored glass onto the bisque surface at a temperature of 1850°. The result is a permanent, fade-resistant surface with a visual depth impossible to achieve any other way. Glazes are available only on Ambiance Collection and LumenEssence sconces. They are not available on Radiance Collection pendants.

Compositions: Hand-painted color detailing can enhance the sculptured form of certain sconces. Whether a whimsical sun or moon, an earthy floral, or a realistic sea shell, Justice artisans can create the perfect look for your unique application.

Custom finishes: Your wish is our command! Our artisans can match or coordinate to a specific tile or stone, a certain fabric, or an overall design concept to make each lighting fixture a complement or a contrast, a subtle accent or a dramatic focus in any space. The facing page shows some of the custom finishes our artisans have created in the past; what we achieve in the future is limited only by your imagination.
