What is IT?
IT is a set of software modules that allows
you to generate a complete, engineered takeoff.
IT Modeler
IT Modeler is a software that allows for full
3D model input. The entire structure, including trusses, walls, foundations, and all
framing materials, is input in complete 3D. At this point materials, loads, and company
information can be input.
IT Structure
When the model is complete, it’s time
for IT Structure. IT Structure performs load generation and load transfer throughout the
model. After the loads have been completely generated, truss information can be output,
and framing members can be sized. Engineered members (including floor joists, dropped or
flush beams, roof rafters, and headers) can be sized using a materials list composed of
wood, steel, or a combination of both. Once materials have been sized, it is possible to
select hanger members, generate talc sheets, and output framing or layout plots.
IT Wall Panels
IT Wall Panels uses the geometry created in
IT Modeler to generate a complete and accurate material takeoff for the wall panels.
Corner sets, partition intersections, stud spacing, number of plates, maximum panel
lengths, as well as material type (steel or wood) are all completely customizable.
Keysmart II Truss
Keysmart II can work with, or independently
of the rest of the IT package. Keysmart II can import the truss information output by the
IT Structure software, or design brand new trusses on its own. Loads, materials, and truss
geometry are all under the user’s complete control when using Keysmart II to design
wood or steel trusses.
IT Management
IT Management will allow you to bring
materials from all other programs together, along with additional materials that can be
added in Management to form a complete bid. IT Management will also give you the
capability to keep track of materials, material prices, and allow you to interface with
most accounting packages.
