KINETICS® Sound Barrier Products
Many occupied spaces are constructed using lightweight material, and noise problems occur later. Noise can travel over partitions. Noise can travel through mineral fiber ceiling tiles. Kinetics has developed products to help combat these occupied space disturbances.

Kinetics Cross Talk Barrier - Type KNM-100AL/AL

 

Kinetics Cross-Talk KNM 100AL/AL is a Loaded Vinyl Limp Mass Barrier with reinforced aluminized facing encapsulating the barrier giving the product a Class 1 fire rating.

Specifications: Barrier material shall meet the sound transmission loss listed below. The barrier material shall be tested in accordance with National Fire Protection Association method NFPA 701 and tested in a vertical configuration. Test results shall meet a Class 1 fire rating. Barrier material shall be non-lead, resistant to water, oils, weak acids, alkalies, and fungi. Barrier material to be Model Cross-Talk KNM 100AL/AL by Kinetics Noise Control of Dublin, OH.

 

 

Kinetics Ceiling Backer

KNC Ceiling Backer is a composite die cut barrier available in 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' sizes. These sizes can easily be placed on top of an existing ceiling tile system that is not providing enough sound attenuation. The barrier material will be a reinforced aluminized-faced mass loaded vinyl 1.0 lb./sq. ft. density bonded to a 1" fiber glass decoupler. The sound transmission loss characteristics are as follows:
