SPECIFICATIONS

GENERAL: Larsen's Flame-Shield Option is designed specifically to maintain the integrity of one ad two hour fire walls with recessed and semi-recessed cabinets. Warnock-Hersey has certified and listed Larsen's Flame-Shield Option for one and two hour combustible and non-combustible wall systems to meet the requirements of UBC Standard 43-6 (ASTM E-814).

BOX: All boxes for Larsen's Flame-Shield cabinets are constructed with a double wall of 18 gauge cold-rolled steel with a baked acrylic enamel finish. The space between the double walls is lined entirely with 5/8" thick fire barrier material. All cabinets come pre-drilled and are provided with hex head self-tapping mounting screws.

DOOR & TRIM: All of Larsen's door styles and trim materials are available with the Flame-Shield Option.

NOTE: 2-1/2" and 4-1/2" Aluminum trims for Flame-Shield cabinets have square edges.

*WARNING: Rough opening must be cut to the exact specifications or the fire rating will be void!

NOTE: When this Flame-Shield specification sheet is used for submittal information, it must be combined with the appropriate Larsen's submittal & detail sheet. All information must be completed before Flame-Shield cabinets can be released for production.
