FIRE HOSE AND VALVE CABINETS

HOW TO SPECIFY AND ORDER LARSEN'S FIRE HOSE & VALVE CABINETS

STEP I SELECT THE TYPE OF CABINET
  1. Fire Hose Cabinets

  2. Fire Dept. Valve Cabinets

  3. Combination Fire Dept. Valve & Extinguisher Cabinets

  4. Fire-Rated Option for Valve and Combination Valve & Extinguisher Cabinets

STEP II DETERMINE THE SIZE FROM THE INTERIOR CONTENTS
  1. Complete Rack Units, Valves, & Components

  2. Fire Extinguisher

STEP III CONSIDER THE WALL DEPTH & TRIM PROJECTION

(Note: Please refer to page 2 for ADA wall projection guidelines and compliance issues)

 

STEP IV SELECT THE TRIM AND DOOR MATERIAL
  1. STEEL: One piece, heavy gauge cold rolled steel with a standard finish of white backed acrylic enamel, which can be used as either a finish or prime coat.
  2. ALUMINUM: Extruded or fabricated aluminum with satin anodized finish. Clear anodized is standard, and a wide selection of optional color anodized finishes is available. All trim and door corners are mitered. To specify aluminum trim and door, use "AL" after the "HC" or "VC" prefix.
  3. STAINLESS STEEL: One piece, heavy gauge, 304 stainless steel with a #4 or #8 finish. To specify stainless steel trim and door, use "SS" after the "HC" or "VC" prefix.
  4. SOLID BRASS or SOLID BRONZE: One piece, heavy gauge solid brass or bronze with standard #4 finish. To specify brass, use "B" or to specify bronze use "BZ" after the "HC" or "VC" prefix.

NOTE: Brass and bronze may not be available for all hose cabinet sizes.

BOX SPECIFICATION: All recessed and semi-recessed cabinets and surface-mounted steel cabinets have a heavy gauge, white baked enamel box. Surface-mounted cabinets with aluminum door and trim have a box constructed entirely of clear or color anodized aluminum. Surface-mounted cabinets with stainless steel door and trim have a box constructed entirely of 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish.

STEP V DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE DOOR STYLE

* Can be glazed with DSA glass, tempered glass, acrylic, plate glass, wire glass, solar bronze or solar gray glass. (Consult For Designer Line Door Styles)

** The VC 1818 has a full glass break glass door.
