DETENTION FIRE SAFETY CABINETS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Larsen's detention fire extinguisher, fire hose, and fire department valve cabinets provide an effective method of securing fire equipment for modern day detention facilities. Available as fully recessed or surface-mounted cabinets and designed for maximum security - these heavy gauge steel units feature one piece solid steel doors with matching trim and heavy gauge continuous piano hinges. These features combined with Larsen's mechanical security locks, fire extinguishers, valves, and hose rack units offer the hingest level of protection for any detention facility.

BOX SPECIFICATION: All recessed and surface-mounted cabinets feature 12 gauge cold-rolled steel boxes finished with a rust inhibitive baked primer. Surface-mounted cabinets with stainless steel trim and door have a box constructed entirely of 304 stainless steel with brushed finish.

TRIM AND DOOR SPECIFICATION: Steel trims and doors are manufactured entirely from 12 gauge cold-rolled steel. The doors are one piece construction. Standard finish is a rust inhibitive baked primer. Stainless steel trims and doors feature the same construction using 12 gauge 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish.

DEC 2409, DEC 2712 and DVC 1818 SERIES

TO SPECIFY THE DEC or DVC SERIES:

1. Insert, after "DEC" or "DVC", the appropriate prefix for the trim and door material. If 12 gauge STEEL - use "S". If 12 gauge STAINLESS STEEL - use "SS".

2. Select the required model number from the dimensional chart based on wall depth and interior capacity. Recessed or surface-mounted.

3. Select "LOCK OPTION"; page 4.

4. Select interior components: fire extinguishers and fire department valves. (See Sweet's section 10520 FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALTIES.)

5. For detention valve cabinets, specify size and location of pipe opening. (One per cabinet standard.)

6. OTHER OPTIONS: horizontal duo door panels (see page 3), special lettering, special finishes (white or red baked enamel), lighter gauges for medium or minimum security needs.

3. Select "LOCK OPTION"; page 4.
4. Select fire extinguishers, if required; and interior hose rack components. (See Sweet's section 10520 FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALTIES.)
