TWO NEW CABINET
OPTIONS |
FIRE-RATED
DETENTION CABINETS-FLAME-SHIELD® Option
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Larsen's
new Flame-Shield fire-rated cabinet option is available for a variety of
detention fire extinguisher cabinets and detention fire department valve cabinets. It is
designed specifically to maintain the integrity of one and two hour fire walls with
recessed cabinets. Warnock-Hersey has certified and listed Larsen's Flame-Shield option
for one and two hour combustible and non-combustible wall systems to meet the requirements
of UBC Standard 43-6(ASTM E-814). Larsen's Flame-Shied option
assures the specifier that life safety codes will be maintained and by eliminating the
need to continue the fire wall within the rough opening, saves the contractor considerable
time and expense. |

HORIZONTAL DUO DOOR
PANELS

Larsen's new Horizontal Duo
Door Panel enables the end-user to inspect periodically the interior contents of the fire
protection cabinets without unlocking the door. The viewing window is glazed with
1/2" clear coated polycarbonate sheet, which normally will not shatter when struck by
thrown objects. This polycarbonate sheet meets the impact strength requirements on ANSI
Z97.1 and the CPSC Architectural Glazing Material Safety Standard (16 CFR 1201). It also
meets the requirements for a burglary-resistant glazing material when tested in accordance
with Standard No. 972 of Underwriters' Laboratories. All glazing is secured into the
cabinet door with heavy gauge angle and removable locking nuts.
The Horizontal Duo Door Panels
can be specified on all Larsen's Detention Cabinets and will not interfere with any lock
options.
To specify Horizontal Duo Door
Panels, add door description after the model number.
