NO. 250 MARKERBOARDS PORCELAIN ENAMEL
APPLICATION: Lemco Markerboard surface offers superior writing and performance
characteristics. It may be used as a writing surface using dry erase markers, as a
magnetic bulletin board or scheduling board. It is ideal for applications requiring a low
dust environment, such as the medical environment, food service, and electronic
industries. It's extremely resistant to scratching, marring, chipping and caustic
chemicals. Use dry wipe type marking pens. Erase with a dry cloth, foam or felt eraser.
Clean with water.SPECIFICATION:
Materials: Porcelain enamel writing surface. Provide balanced
high pressure laminated porcelain enamel writing boards of 3 ply construction consisting
of face sheet, core material and backing.
- Face sheet Lemco #250: Provide face sheet of 28 gauge (24
gauge optional) enameling grade coil steel suitable for application of architectural
porcelain. Both surfaces of steel will receive a ground coat of ceramic frit fused to the
metal. A color cover coat of ceramic frit applied and fused to one surface of the ground
coat. Firing temperature will be approximately 1500 degrees. Product to be manufactured in
accordance with the performance specifications PEI Spec. S104 for porcelain enamel steel
markerboards established by the Porcelain Enamel Institute.
- Cover coat: Provide standard gloss writing surface for dry
erase marker pens.
- Core: Provide the manufacturer's specially engineered
industrial grade 7/16" inch thick high density particle board, formed and bonded with
resin creating a substrate for improved laminating. Material complies with requirements of
ANSI A208.1, grade 1-M-1. (1/2" hardboard or 1/2" fiberboard is available but
not recommended).
- Balancing/Backing sheet: Provide manufacturer's standard
0.0015 thick aluminum foil backing, cleaned and full hard tempered for rigidity. Provides
moisture barrier. (.005, .15 thick aluminum foil or 28 gauge steel optional).
- Laminating adhesive: Provide manufacturers standard
environmentally safe high performance type adhesive.
- Trim: Any of Lemco trim types may be specified.
Standard Panel Size: 4 foot high by 4, 6, 8, 12 & 16 foot lengths.
Five foot high available as a special order.

No. 254 - No. 250 markerboard on 7/16" industrial grade particle board.
No. 255 - No. 250 markerboard on 1/2" fiberboard.

For Porcelain Plus add "P" to the part number (ie 254P).
For Visual Plus Multi Purpose add "VP" to part number (ie 254VP).
NO. 250P PORCELAIN PLUS
APPLICATION: Porcelain Plus is the same as Lemco No. 250 but porcelain is
manufactured with a special medium gloss marker surface. This semi-matte finish has
improved surface light diffusion for reduced eye fatigue and increased projection screen
capabilities.
