INCLUSIONS ILLUMINATION SPREAD
ie. if your fixture is 10' from the subject to be lit and in flood focus the beam diameter would be: beam angle 10 x 1.35 = 13.5' INTENSITY
ie. if your fixture is 10' from the subject to be lit, in flood focus and lamped with an EGJ lamp the footcandle output would be: 18,500/100 = 185 fc (10 x 10 = 100) NOTE: The BEAM ANGLE and FIELD ANGLE are both factors that determine a BEAM SPREAD. BEAM ANGLE determines a spread whose intensities at its edges are 50% of its center intensity. FIELD ANGLE determines a spread whose intensities at its edges are 10% of its center intensity. mf = multiplying factor CBCP = Center Beam Candle Power *denotes incandescent lamp To find beam diameter at any distance: throw distance x mf = beam diameter To find light output in footcandles (fc) at any distance: CBCP / (throw distance)2 = fc SPECIFICATIONS The luminaire shall be a 500 to 1000 watt 14" focusing floodlight with a medium prefocus socket, to accept a tungsten halogen lamp, housed inside an aluminum reflector. The socket assembly shall consist of a cast aluminum cap, housing and rear mounted screw feed mechanism. The fixture shall have a steel color frame holder on two sides and the bottom. Relamping shall be accomplished from the front of the unit without disturbing the prefocused alignment. Focusing shall be accomplished by turning the hand crank at the rear of the unit. The luminaire shall be supplied with a rigid strap yoke, color frame and a three foot, three wire lead encased in black fibreglass sleeving. The exterior finish shall be baked enamel. |
