     With so many window and door products on the market, it's sometimes hard to know whether you're making the best choice for quality and performance. Sometimes, you just buy a brand name and hope for the best. But Marvin can give you two different independent assurances that your Marvin products will be among the best available: National Wood Window & Door Association (NWWDA) Quality Certification and National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Certification.
     The majority of Marvin products have been independently tested and then certified by these organizations and will be correspondingly labeled, bearing their seals and symbols indicating compliance and certified performance characteristics.

NWWDA HALLMARK PROGRAM - WHAT IT MEANS AND WHAT TO LOOK FOR

     The NWWDA Hallmark Program is a Third Party Certification program that manufacturers can voluntarily join to add credibility to their claim of reliability and quality. A series of tests is conducted to ensure that the product design meets NWWDA Industry requirements.
     Manufacturers demonstrating compliance with the appropriate standards are authorized to label their products with the NWWDA Hallmark Certification stamp. The use of the Hallmark symbol indicates that the participant goes an extra step in inviting an independent, third-party review of product design to ensure that the company is manufacturing the product according to the certified design. Marvin products are rated in terms of Design Pressure and Performance Grades. They have been tested and pass corresponding air infiltration, water penetration and structural performance (wind pressure) requirements. These ratings give manufacturers and users a tool to market and select products with incremental increases in levels of total window performance for residential or commercial requirements.
     What's important is that the NWWDA Hallmark symbol certifies that the design of Marvin products have been independently tested. Look for the NWWDA Hallmark symbol on your products or ask your Marvin dealer about the performance characteristics of the products you are ordering.
