     The double hung window is still the window of choice for many homeowners. And at Marvin, our Double Hungs are Made To Order

      Remember, Made To Order doesn't mean expensive. And it doesn't necessarily mean custom. It means we can build a window to fit your needs -- precisely. For instance, we can build our double hungs to fit existing openings -- great for remodeling or restoration projects. Extended sill horns (wood only) and extended jambs can be factory-applied. In fact, attached exterior casings, mulled units and nailing fins are available to help you reduce time and labor costs on the job site.

Available in over 126 competitively priced standard sizes, it can fill new construction, replacement or remodeling needs. Plus, you can enhance them with options like authentic divided lites, simulated divided lites or removable interior grilles.

EASY TO CLEAN

     Both sash operate for ventilation. They also tilt into a room for easy cleaning without having to remove the screen. The durable pivot pin made of zinc instead of nylon for superior strength and wear resistance, tilt after tilt. Both sash can be easily removed altogether making staining and varnishing easy.

     A sash lock comes standard to provide security and beauty A return spring returns the lock to a safe position, preventing potential damage to muntins or rails when the sash is tilted back into operating position. The sash lock is made of steel and zinc and is available in three different finishes: (standard) white, bronze and brass plated.

 
     Marvin double hungs can be grouped into bays, bows or multiple units. Factory mulling and continuous sill and top casing allow for easy installation, structural integrity, symmetry and reduced on-site labor The looks of double hung profiles are identical. So, you can group them together in a variety of configurations to suit a variety of styles from traditional to modern. Exterior casing is available in several different profiles to provide a variety of treatments or looks (wood only).
