The Marvin Sliding French Door meets and exceeds an NWWDA Grade 60 performance rating* ... the toughest in the industry for
structural stability and water and air penetration. Heavy wood jambs and 1 3/4" thick door panels provide exceptional strength. Extra stability
and the traditional French door profile are provided by 4 3/4" stiles and top rail. The door frame is 1 1/16" thick. The standard jamb width is 4
9/16" All corners are glued and fastened with 5/8" x 4" hardwood dowels. Quality construction like this means performance and performance
leads to fewer call-backs. The Marvin Sliding French Door comes in three standard heights (6'5", 6'8", and 8'0") which make it ideal for new
construction or retro-fit applications.
Contributing to its performance is an exclusive Ultrex™ sill which is an industry first. Ultrex™ does not conduct cold and will not rot or
corrode. A unique weep system channels moisture to the exterior to help guard against ice-up. The sill is a pleasing neutral color that works
well with the rest of the door and the interior threshold is beautiful oak.
A neutral-colored weatherstrip is applied all around the door to prevent air infiltration. It consists of slip-coated vinyl and a dual durometer
leaf/bulb system. The coated vinyl prevents sticking and ensures easy operation. Low E glass with argon gas is available for added energy
efficiency.
