Our prefinish is a money saver to everyone; however, the
contractor is the biggest benefactor as he or she has no hassle with the appearance of
field finish, and prefinished doors make for quicker job completion.
Mohawk is one of the largest prefinished door manufacturers
in the industry. We offer eight standard stain finishes (TR-6), one standard enamel paint
(OP-6), and eight standard Rustic finishes. If our wide color range of standard finishes
does not meet your requirements, we will custom-match any color in the species of your
choice. In specifying Mohawk prefinished doors, you have complete control over the final
appearance and cost of the product. These doors are prefinished ina controlled in-plant
environment by skilled personnel with many years of experience. This culminates in one of
the finest prefinished door products available in the marketplace. We offer four-week
delivery on all standard prefinished doors.
Our premium 2000 finish is processed on our new 540-foot
prefinished line. Our new lie is totally environmentally safe and friendly, using a
combination of water-brone fillers, stains, sealers, and 100% solid polyurethane
ultraviolet-cured topcoats, all of which re formaldehyde-free.
When designing this line, we researched all of the problem
areas in finishing of doors such as scratches, barber poling, inconsistency of basic
color, large contrast, and starved finish. We have addressed all of these deficiencies
with our new line, which is one of the most sophisticated and advanced prefinish system in
use today in the woodworking industry. We have dramatically improved in all of the problem
areas. This nine-step, state-of-the-art prefinishing and coating system gives us the
opportunity to apply multiple color coats to enable us to uniform the color variations of
the veneers. In addition, the formulated ultravioler topcoat is exceptionally hard and has
the appearance of a filled, hand-rubbed finish. Our topcoats are resistant to stains
caused by household chemicals, abrasion, marring, moisture, and heat. It is also a
fire-retardant finish.
