The Customer-Crafted Options That Prepare Doors for Immediate Job Site Installation

Besides prefinishing, Mohawk offers three-way machining, prefitting and /or beveling, sanding, and protective packaging so that all you usually need for job site installation is a screwdriver. Mohawk doors can arrive at the job site prefinished, machined, and wrapped securely – literally "clean as a pin" and ready for hardware and hinges. This saves you substantial sums by reducing or eliminating costly on-the-spot labor and handling.

Wood Flush Modling Profile

Hardwood flush molding for 1/8" or ¼" glass standard (other thicknesses by special request). All glass thicknesses may be ordered for any size cutout, glazed or unglazed. Mitered corners. Molding tacked in for easy removal if ordered unglazed. Door cutout is 1/8" over glass dimension.

Wood Louver Chevron Design

Hardwood louver with approximately 25% free air (of opening size) assembled with Phillips #6-1-1/2" brass-plated, self-tapping screws. All sizes available.

Metal or Wood Veneered Metal Vision Panel Details for 20, 45, 60, and 90 Minute Fire Doors

¼" wire of Firelite clear glass must be installed in all vision panels. All light cutouts must be a minimum of 6" from door edge or any hardware cutout. All sizes available.

Metal Fusible Link Louver

24 x 24 steel fusible link. Minimum distance to bottom of door 10 inches. Minimum distance to edge of door or any other cutout 6 inches.

Dutch Door and Wicket Door

When specifying Dutch doors, indicate if shelf is required on one or both sides and make certain that thickness of shelf is taken into consideration when specifying hardware locations. Shelves and brackets will be shipped separately. Standard widths for shelf are 8". 10", and 12" for single side and 16", 20" and 24" for both sides. Shelf bracket is 1 inch less than width of shelf. Shelf and bracket are matching species, thickness 7/8". Rabbeting of Dutch door by special request.

When specifying Wicket doors, indicate size of call door, size of shelf, one or two shelf brackets, and hand. The top and lock edge of call door and opening are rabbeted. The call door, shelf, and opening are rabbeted. The call door, shelf, and shelf bracket will be shipped separately. Shelf and bracket are matching species, thickness 7/8". Rabbeting of call door by special request.
