MOHAWK APPLIED MOLDING DESIGNER SERIES
This program gives design professionals outstanding design
flexibility and the opportunity to enhance the beauty of the opening by adding applied
molding. This stile and rail likeness on one or both sides takes the flush door to the
level of fine millwork at a fraction of the cost of stile and rail products.
We offer six standard molding profiles and four standard
plant-on configurations (MP2, MP3, MP4, and MP6). Your design options do not stop here as
we have the capabilities to custom-design your choice of molding profiles and layouts.
This program does not compromise your lead-time as it only
adds one week for standard and two weeks for custom profiles and layouts. These lead-times
include prefinished molding and machining, and each door is polywrapped to protect it
against the job site environment.
| Out standard wood species is
basswood; all other species by special request Our standard plat-on configurations have
6" stiles, 6" top rail, and 10" bottom rail after prefitting. These
plant-ons are attached by mechanical fasteners. Decorative moldings may be applied to fire doors with the following
restrictions :
Standard or custom profiles, maximum width
2-1/2", maximum height ¾".
Multiple pieces may be used providing the
pieces are separated with a space between the pieces of no less than the width of the
individual piece. Must be a minimum of 4" from edge of door or lite. Maximum area of
molding not to exceed 22% of the area of the door.
Example : 3/0 x 7/0 door with 1-1/2"
molding, maximum usage is 443-1/2". Note that all of our standard profiles qualify
for the fire door applications. |
