Norton Series 1700 Door Closer
APPLICATION / ORDERING Application The Norton Series 1700 Door Closer is a narrow-style door closer. Its compact design is intended for installation on interior doors. It offers an economical option for those doors in a building complex where a heavy-duty, more sophisticated closer is not warranted. It is available with a molded full cover to provide a similar appearance to other full-cover closers in the building. These closers feature independent valves for adjusting sweep speed, latch speed and optional backcheck cushioning. Both hold-open and non hold-open closers are packaged with all necessary hardware, allowing them to be installed either regular arm, top jamb or parallel arm. In addition, these closers are nonhanded, providing even greater application flexibility. U.L. Listing Norton Series 1700 Door Closers with non-hold-open arms are listed by Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc. for use on labeled fire doors. ANSI/Federal Specs. Norton Series 1700 Door Closers have been designed and manufactured to meet or exceed the requirements of FF-H-121-D and ANSI A156.4-1986 Grade II Specifications.
