COVERS / PLATES

Molded Full Covers

2-1/2" high x 2-1/16" deep x 8-7/8" long (64mm x 52mm x 225mm)

Molded of high-impact U.L. Listed material for completely enclosing the closer body, mounting screws and pinion shaft. This cover is non-handed. It has two notches; one will clear the shaft regardless of the hand of installation. An insert is provided for insertion into the unused notch. Four molded catches engage the closer body for an easy yet secure installation. The cover is available in the sprayed finishes listed on page 1700-3. To order this cover separately, specify Catalog Number 17P x Finish.

Drop Plates:

Series 1700 Door Closers are available with the following Drop Plates for installation on narrow top rails or narrow frame faces. These Drop Plates vary in size when the closer is ordered with or without a full Molded Cover. Order Drop Plates from the chart. Specify finish when ordered separately.
