 6600/6700 ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS
Door controls ______ (interior) (exterior) swinging door(s)
shall be of rack and pinion design contained within a precision cast aluminum housing.
Door closing force shall be adjustable to insure adequate closing control. Door closing
speed shall be controlled by independent hydraulic adjustment valves in the sweep and the
latch range of the closing cycle. Door Control shall have an adjustable backcheck feature
to cushion the door opening speed if opened violently. Unit shall have a three position
Selector Mode Switch that shall permit unit to be switched "ON" to monitor for
function activation, or switched to "H/O" for indefinite hold open function or
switched to "OFF" which shall deactivate the ("PAS" power assist)
("POR" power operator) function. (Unit shall be U.L. listed for automatic
closing door) Door control shall be adjustable to provide compliance with the requirements
of the Americans With Disabilities Act (A.D.A.) and A.N.S.I. standard(s) (A117.1 and
A156.19.)
6600PAS -
Switch/Scanner Activated Power Assist Unit Door Control shall provide conventional door
closer opening and closing forces unless the door opening force is reduced by activation
of the door control's integral motor by means of a (wall switch) (frame switch) (microwave
scanner) (retro-reflective scanner). When the motor is energized the door opening force
shall be adjustable to 2 lbf. or less. Motor assist shall be adjustable from 0 seconds to
30 seconds in 5 second increments. Motor assist shall restart the time cycle with each
activation of (switch) (scanner). Door shall stay at any point in the opening cycle at
which it is stopped, up to the full open position. Door shall close under full spring
power when motor assist is shut off.
6600POR -
Switch/Scanner Activated Power Operator Unit Door Control shall provide conventional door
closer opening and closing forces unless the power operator motor is activated by a (wall
switch) (frame switch) (microwave scanner) (retro-reflective scanner). When the motor is
energized the door shall be power opened at both a speed and at a force that are
adjustable. The door shall open to the full open position, up to a maximum of 110°
(6630POR units may be manually opened beyond 110° , up to a maximum of 180° ). Upon
reaching the full open position the door shall remain in momentary hold open for an
adjustable 0 seconds to 30 seconds, adjustable in 5 second increments. At any time during
the momentary hold open time cycle orwhile the door is closing that a (switch) (scanner)
is activated, the door shall return to the full open position and the momentary hold open
time cycle shall restart. Door shall close under full spring power when operator motor is
shut off.
6700PAS -
Automatically Activated Power Assist Unit Door Control shall automatically activate an
integral motor that will reduce the door opening force to 2 lbf. or less. Activation of
the motor assist shall be achieved by a slight push or pull on the door in direction of
opening. The distance the door travels before it activates the motor shall be adjustable
from 3/8" to 1-1/8" (3 to 29mm) of movement. [Unit shall also be activated by a
(wall switch) (frame switch) (microwave scanner) (retro-reflective scanner)]. Upon
activation, the motor assist shall provide reduced door opening force for a period that
shall be adjustable from 0 seconds to 30 seconds in 5 second increments. Door shall stay
at any point in the opening cycle at which it is stopped, up to the full open position.
Timer in unit shall restart the motor assist with each push or pull on the door toward the
open position, regardless of the degree of door angle. Door shall close under the full
spring power that the door control is adjusted to when the power assist motor is shut off.
6700POR -
Automatically Activated Power Operator Unit Door Control shall automatically activate an
integral motor to power open the door at both a speed and a force that are adjustable.
Activation of the motor shall be achieved by a slight push or pull on the door in the
direction of opening. The distance the door travels before it activates the motor shall be
adjustable from 3/8" to 1-1/8" (3 to 29mm) of movement. [Unit shall also be
activated by a (wall switch) (frame switch) (microwave scanner) (retro-reflective
scanner)]. When the motor is energized the door shall be power opened at both a speed and
at a force that are adjustable. The door shall open to the full open position, up to a
maximum of 110° (6730POR units may be manually opened beyond 110° , up to a maximum of
180° ). Upon reaching the full open position the door shall remain in momentary hold open
for an adjustable 0 seconds to 30 seconds, adjustable in 5 second increments. Upon release
from momentary hold open, should the door be stopped and pushed or pulled in the direction
of opening [or at any point during momentary hold open or door closing that a (switch)
(scanner) is activated] the door shall be returned to the hold open position and the
momentary hold open time cycle shall restart. Door shall close underfull spring power when
the operator motor is shut off.
