† Tri-style installation closer can be installed top
jamb where the minimum frame face is 3-1/4" (83mm) or reveal is between 0-3"
(0-76 mm). Closers order specifically for top jamb installation series J7500/JL7500 are
supplied standard with a 7786 back plate and can be installed on frame with a minimum face
of 1-7/8" (48mm).
‡7580 and 7580BF closer can only be installed top jamb
with 7787 Drop Plate.
"S" Dimension -- Minimum Top Rail Clearance when
using 7787 Drop Plate: Add 1-3/4" (44mm) to the
"S" Dimensions shown in the chart above or for
7580/7580BF closers only, "S" Dimension is 3-1/4" (83mm)
