Application
The Norton® Series 7700 door closer is one of our finest door controls. It is a
narrow protection closer with cover that offers the discerning designer a clean,
unobtrusive installation. At the same time it offers a complete range of separate control
adjustment . . . sweep speed, latch speed, backcheck cushioning, backcheck position and
50% spring power adjustment over each closer size.This closer can literally be tuned to
the environment of door, frame, traffic, wind or air pressure conditions.
Series 7700 closers are narrow projection door controls:
projection is 2-1/8" from the surface of the door or jamb. They are complete with
covers that can be finished to suit the decor of other builders hardware. They are
available with sprayed covers or BHMA plated finishes. Or, where appearance is an
extremely important consideration, covers are available in a wide variety of laminated
wood grains to complement the door and frame.
Norton Series 7700 door closers are nonhanded, except for
top jamb applications, and can be installed on either right or left hand doors for
Non-Hold-Open and standard Hold-Open arm functions. They are available with Non-Hold-Open,
Hold-Open and Fusible-Link Hold-Open arms. They are also available with the special
features of Delayed-Action Closing, Coupon Booth Hold-Open, Hospital Hold-Open or
Telephone Booth operation.
There are also available a number of special application
Series 7700 door closers. Series 7780 closers are supplied with a narrow profile arm for
non-hold-open installations where ceiling or top rail of door provide minimal clearance.
Series PR 7700 are supplied with a rigid forearm for parallel arm installations where
heavy use is anticipated.
Finally, Series 7700 closers are also available with a wide
choice of mounting accessories to meet the needs of most installations.

styling appearance.

Packaging Information
All Norton Series 7700 Closers are packed one to a box,
with the appropriate arm, a hex-key for control valve adjustment, installation
instructions, and both wood screws and machine screws for mounting. Hold-Open and
Fusible-Link Hold-Open arm closers will also include a hold-open adjustable wrench.
Special Fasteners
Thru-bolts and grommet nuts (TBGN) or sex-nuts (SN) are
available to order. |
