SLIDE TRACK CLOSERS PUSH (STOP) SIDE MOUNT

Norton Series PS8300ST/PS8500ST Slide Track Door Closers combine the door control of the Series 8300/8500 closer with the subtle appearance of a slide track and arm. Since the arm does not project, the overall installation exhibits a smooth uncluttered appearance.

The closer body is surface mounted on the push side of the door's top rail and the slide track fastened to the frame soffit. They present an unobtrusive narrow profile installation. Also, since there is no hardware projecting when the door is closed, it provides a deterrent to vandalism.

Series PS8300ST/PS8500ST Closers are nonhanded. They feature 50% spring power adjustment, sweep speed, latch speed and backcheck cushioning control valve adjustment. The Series PS8300ST is supplied with a molded Slim Style cover; Series PS8500ST is supplied with a molded Full Cover.

These door closers are available for either non-hold-open or hold-open operation. For doors requiring a maximum swing and/or hold-open of 100° or less, the track has a spring cushion assembly to assist in bringing the door to a controlled dead stop. The hold-open track assembly also has an engage/disengage hold-open feature, and hold-open tension adjustment. The ranges of door swing and the range of hold-open are as follows:

Non-Hold-Open

85° to 100° with Spring Cushion Track

85° to 125° without Spring Cushion Track Hold-Open 85° to 100°

A telescoping arm assembly permits adjustment of door swing and/or hold-open point in 3° increments within the ranges listed.
