Closer Power Adjustment
Series CLP-8501—Normal Power Range
Power of control can be adjusted to conform to conventional
sizing requirements outlined in ANSI A156.4-1986, Standards for Door Controls - Closers.
Series CLP-8501 BF-Accessibility Code Power Range
Power of control can be adjusted to conform to the sizing
requirements outlined in The Americans With Disablities Act (A.D.A.) and ANSI A117.1-1986,
Specifications for Making Buildings and Facilities Accessible To and Usable By Physically
Handicapped People.
As a guide to set the CloserPlus door closer power, use the
charts on page CLOSERPLUS-15 (Series 8301 for Normal Power Range: Series 8301 BF for
Accessibility Code Power Range). Installer must further adjust the closer to accommodate
door, frame, degree of opening, environment or "Code" requirements. Closer
factory set at minimum power (zero turns).
