Closer Power Adjustment

The following charts are a guide to set the Unitrol door closer power. Installer must further adjust the closer to accommodate door, frame, degree of opening, environment or "Code" requirements. Closer factory set at minimum power (zero turns).

Closer power can be adjusted to conform to the requirements outlined in ANSI A117.1-1980, Specifications for Making Buildings and Facilities Accessible To and Usable By Physically Handicapped People.

Narrow Top Rail -- #8148 Drop Plate: For use where a narrow top rail prevents the closer from being mounted directly to the door surface. This Drop Plate can be used to mount the door closer on a top rail as narrow as 2-1/2" (64mm) in height.

1-3/4" high x 2-1/8" deep x 13" long (44mm x 54mm x 330mm)

Molded Slim Style Cover -- #8200P: Standard. Available in any of the "Sprayed Finishes" listed on page UNITROL-3. Cover fastens to closer with two attaching screws, included.
