Closer Power Adjustment
Series UNI-8501--Normal Power Range
Closer power can be adjusted to conform to conventional
sizing requirements outlined in ANSI A156.4-1986, Standards for Door Controls - Closers.
Series UNI-8501BF -- Accessibility Code Power Range
Closer power can be adjusted to conform to the requirements
outlined in ANSI A117.1-1980, Specifications for Making Buildings and Facilities
Accessible To and Usable By Physically Handicapped People.
As a guide to set the Unitrol door closer power, use the
charts on page UNITROL-25 (Series UNI-8301 for Normal Power Range, or Series UNI-8301BF
for Accessibility Code Power Range). Installer must further adjust the closer to
accommodate door, frame, degree of opening, environment or "Code" requirements.
Closer factory set at minimum power (zero turns).
