2. DIRECTIONS FOR SUBSTRUCTURE AND MIRROR PREPARATION
a. Make sure both surfaces are clean and dry. On nonporous substructure such as; glass, tile or metal, bond coating is not necessary. If used on porous substructure, brush or spray PALMER INTERIOR MASTIC BOND on dry, clean substructure and allow it to dry. Never apply bond coat or NEW FORMULA QWIKSET to a painted surface or wall covering, as the solvents may case these surfaces to loosen.
b. Cut the tapered spout on the cartridge so it will dispense the desired size bead or pat of NEW FORMULA QWIKSET.
c. Apply sufficient NEW FORMULA QWIKSET so that when the mirror is pressed into place the adhesive will cover approximately 60% of the back of the mirror and create a safety backing. Leave an air space between the beads or pats to allow the adhesive to set up. With mirror-to-mirror or mirror-to-glass overlays the beads or pats should be 1/32 to 1/16 of an inch in thickness when the mirror is pressed into place. Care should be taken to make sure that NEW FORMULA QWIKSET is not applied too heavy or close to the edge causing "squeeze out" that will have to be cleaned off. Any clean up should be done with mineral spirits.
d. Support mirror at the bottom. This may be done with double-face tape tabs, L-hangers, "J"-channel or with pins.
e. When the cartridge is not in use, cover the tip by inserting a nail with a large head to cover the spout opening. New Formula QwikSet is flammable. NEVER use near heat or open flame.

 
SUPERSET™ MIRRO-MASTIC®

2. DIRECTIONS FOR SUBSTRUCTURE AND MIRROR PREPARATION:
a. Before starting SUPERSET application and installation, make sure both surfaces are clean and dry.
b. Cut the tapered spout on the cartridge so that it will dispense the desired size bead of SUPERSET.
c. Apply vertical beads of SUPERSET so that when the mirror is pressed into place there will be an air space between the beads to promote set up. Raw wood, drywall or other unsealed substrates promote a faster set. Do not seal the perimeter of mirror as all mirror installations need air circulation behind the mirror.
d. Support mirror at the bottom. This may be done with double-face tape tabs, L-hangers, "J"-channel or with pins.

WARNING

All Palmer Products must be used only for approved purposes, and must b applied only in accordance with Palmer's installation instructions, as set forth in Palmer's Spec-Data sheet and Installation Guides (available upon request from Palmer or its distributors). The user bears all risk of damage, injury or other loss arising out of any non-approved use and/or improper installation of any Palmer Product. If Palmer's installation instructions are not followed, in whole or part, for whatever reason, then mechanical fasteners of sufficient size and strength must immediately be used to insure safety of the installation pending prompt proper re-installation by the product user. Any failure to properly utilize or apply any Palmer product may result in property damage, bodily injury or death. Palmer shall not be responsible for these or any other types of misuse of its products. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

NOTICE

- Adhesive, substrate and mirror should be at normal room temperature during application.

- Use the Palmer electric applicator only with regular Palmer Mirro-Mastic.

- Palmer Electric Applicator speeds the setting time, the application time, and promotes uniformity.

- Unplug applicator before cleaning. while still warm, wipe with a clean dry cloth.

- The Palmer Electric applicator is NOT to be used with New Formula QwikSet or SuperSet Mirro-Mastics.

- NEW FORMULA QWIKSET MIRRO-MASTIC is extremely flammable and toxic. It is a red label product and notice should be posted on site.

- Do not apply adhesives or bond coatings to surface that may become hot from an adjacent source of heat or open flame.

- If there are any other applications not explained in this instruction sheet, we encourage your inquiries, prior to beginning installation.
