Major defense contractor required a work platform to move Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles (JASSM) into an anechoic chamber where missiles are tested, calibrated and certified. Missile coating is very sensitive and cannot be scratched so vertical and horizontal travel control is critical. Pflow designed a 6,500 lb. capacity work platform that travels laterally on 18" wheels via a gear & pinion line shaft drive. Vertical travel is controlled via screw lifts mounted inside each platform column. Horizontal and vertical positioning is accurate to within 1/8".
