Introduction

For many years Premier Refractories and Chemicals has manufactured and sold its "super-spun" ceramic fiber and proprietary cement products for high temperature insulation and heat protection applications. In 1980, Premier received UL 723 Flammability Classification for its fiber products. Underwriters Laboratories established the surface burning characteristics for Premier board and blanket to be zero flame spread and zero smoke developed.

Premier's PYROSCAT® FP products meet numerous fire protection standards of many other agencies and governing bodies - including the Department of Transportation, the U.S. Coast Guard and the NFPA. With a melting point of over 3000 °F, PYROSCAT FP products are a natural for fire barrier applications.
