System
Features

The PYROSCAT FP Duct Wrap System is a flexible, fire barrier system designed to provide a one or two-hour fire rating along with a zero clearance to combustibles fire protection in grease and air duct applications. The system consists of two layers of PYROSCAT FP Duct Wrap (foil laminated or unfoiled) applied to the grease ducts or air ducts in accordance with Premier's Installation Specifications.

The system incorporates fire protection-grade Ceramic Fiber Blankets manufactured from inorganic oxides using the proprietary Erwin Spinning Process. This process produces a lightweight, super strong, flexible, inert needled blanket that is inherently fire resistant. The product is produced in our ISO 9002 Certified facility with UL listed components and is manufactured to strict tolerances, ensuring proper thickness and density control for fire-critical applications.

All PYROSCAT FP Duct Wrap and blanket products are available in foiled or unfoiled versions as listed below:

    F2 - Foiled both sides
    F1 - Foiled one side
    F0 - Unfoiled

The PYROSCAT FP duct Wrap System was tested and approved at Underwriters Laboratories per UL YYET for Grease Duct Enclosures in accordance with SBCCI Acceptance Criteria. The UL YYET standard requires the system to meet the following specifications:

UL 263 - An external full scale fire test for 1 and/or 2 hour fire resistance duct enclosures and through penetrations per ASTM E-119 with hose stream.

UL 1978 - an abnormal temperature test performed in accordance with UL Subject 1978 Proposed First Edition of the Standard for Grease Ducts.

UL 723 - A test for surface burning characteristics per ASTM E-84.

UL 1479 - Through penetration fire stop tests per ASTM E-814.

When compared to other flexible wrap systems, PYROSCAT FP Duct Wrap and FP Blanket have the added advantage of exhibiting greater physical strength, plus (when opting for foiled blanket) the foil laminate is bonded directly to the blanket. This gives the installers a more durable system which is easier to handle, fabricate and faster to install.
