PYROSCAT® FP Passive Fire Protection
Product Description, Applications
Premier Refractories and Chemicals, through distributors worldwide, supplies high quality,
cost effective, PYROSCAT® passive fire protection systems. The full line of
PYROSCAT® FP products includes duct wrap, blankets, bulk, boards and coatings,
setting the standard for passive fire protection and fire barrier applications.
PYROSCAT® FP DUCT WRAP
This passive system provides unequaled performance in air and grease duct applications.
The lightweight, flexible system is inherently fire resistant and safeguards against
internal and external fire hazards.
PYROSCAT FP duct Wrap is available in three grades - F0, unfaced;
F1, foil facing one side, and F2, foil facing both sides. F1 and F2 facings are bonded
directly to the blanket for greater durability and ease of handling. F2(E) is fully
encapsulated.
The Duct Wrap provides up to 2-hour ratings for th enclosure and
through-penetrations, with zero clearance to combustibles. The 2-hour system has two
1½" (38mm) layers of fire barrier material that are wrapped around steel ducts. The
1-hour rated system for air ducts requires only one layer.
PYROSCAT® FP BLANKET
PYROSCAT FP blanket is available in various thicknesses and densities for a host of
passive fire protection applications from bulkheads to structural steel.
PYROSCAT® FP BULK
Bulk, a 2300 ºF (1260 °C), noncombustible, UL classified product, is used in penetration
seal/firestop applications with firestop putty and caulks. It exhibits zero flamespread
and smoke developed indexes.
PYROSCAT® FP BOARD
This is a 2300 ºF (1260 °C), noncombustible, UL classified product used in fire stop
applications such as damming boards.
PYROSCAT® FP COATINGS
Specially formulated mixtures of high temperature resistive components provide
exceptional, fire retardant, protective coatings for fire critical applications.
