EMERGENCY LIGHTING

The  Prudential Emergency Lighting System is a unit pack consisting of a sealed electronic assembly, a nickel cadmium battery pack, a test switch and a derangement signal light.

These components are contained within the lighting fixture and provide emergency light for a minimum period of 90 minutes during a power failure. The battery pack will fully recharge itself in approximately 24 hours after power is restored.

The Prudential Emergency pack is available in fixtures using 2' through 8' fluorescent lamps. It can be ordered for either 120 or 277 volt line input and a remote signal light and test switch is also available.

The lighting fixture may be controlled by switching the AC ballast leads. There must be an unswitched voltage source to the emergency pack.

The Emergency pack is available with a choice of two lumen output systems.

The higher lumen output (1200) is designated by catalog number prefix ''PEH''. On a 2 or more lamp fixture, the lumens are split between 2 lamps.

The lower lumen output (600) is designated by catalog prefix ''PEL''. One lamp is illuminated by emergency power.

To order specific brand names of emergency ballast use one of the prefixes in Ballast Chart lieu of ''PEL'' or "PEH".
