Limitations: The eight standard QC Patina
Stain colors are shown applied to both uncolored (gray) concrete and to a QC Coconut Color
Hardener base. However, QC Patina Stains produce unique effects to each individual
concrete substrate and may differ significantly from the colors shown on this chart. QC
Patina Stains will produce a wide range of finished colors depending on many factors
including, but not limited to, finishing techniques, mix designs, curing practices, age
and condition of concrete in existing slabs, base color and surface porosity. There is an
element of uncertainty and unpredictability inherent in the use and final appearance of QC
Patina Stains, including uneven, mottled or translucent effects. In particular, blue and
green stains react to the presence of moisture and can create a black, spotty effect.
Also, concrete that has been extremely hard troweled may be difficult to stain. It is
strongly recommended to sample the actual surface that is to be stained (in an
inconspicuous area). Refer to the QC Patina Stain Product Information Bulletin for
additional information and product limitations.
NOTE: QC Patina Stains can be used over all color selections of QC Color Hardener
and QC Integral Colors.
