QC Patina Stains are various combinations of metallic salts in waterbased solutions that
are slightly acidic. The stains lightly etch and penetrate "bare" new or
existing concrete and chemically form permanent insoluble colored precipitates that remain
in the concrete's pores. QC Patina Stains produce a variegated finish, including broad
drifts in color, which are not considered defects. This variegation is the reason this
method of concrete coloration is chosen. QC Patina Stains are not paints or coatings and
do not cover up, but rather work in conjunction with the color and character of the
substrate. QC Construction Products offers a full range of sealers for QC Patina Stain
projects.
