SPECIFICAITI0NS:
1.00 GENERAL
Description
a. The work in this section shall be designated as QC
CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS WALL LINER SYSTEMS in the plans. The work shall include labor,
materials and equipment required to complete the installation.
Definitions
a. QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS WALL LINERS: Formliners that produce patterned and textured
vertical concrete surfaces. The QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS WALL COLORING SYSTEM used with
the QC WALL LINERS is optional as detailed in Section 2.00 below. It is recommended to
contact your QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS distributor for consultation regarding the
appropriate coloring system prior to writing specifications.
2.00 PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS
a. Concrete Mix Design: The concrete mix shall conform to the architect/engineer's
guidelines and recommendations established by the American Concrete Institute.
b. Reinforcement: All concrete shall be reinforced in accordance with the guidelines and
recommendations of the American Concrete Institute.
c. QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS INTEGRAL COLOR (optional): The concrete shall be colored using
the following QC INTEGRAL COLOR(s):_________________
d. QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS VERTICAL STAIN (optional): The concrete shall be colored using
the following QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS VERTICAL STAIN(s):________________________
e. QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS ANTI-GRAFFITI WALL BARRIER
(optional): The concrete shall be coated with QC ANTI-GRAFFITI WALL BARRIER.
f. QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS WALL LINERS: The concrete shall be patterned
and textured using the following QC CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS WALL LINER(s):_________________-
3.00 EXECUTION
Installation Procedures
a. Excavation and preparation of trenches
for footings shall be performed in accordance with industry standards.
b. All footings shall be placed per engineer's specifications in
accordance with industry standards.
c. The form work shall be installed and properly braced in accordance
with the plans.
d. Provide and place reinforcement as specified in the plans.
e. Place concrete into forms and properly vibrate to insure maximum
consolidation and to minimize bugholes at the face of the concrete.
f. Sack and patch any necessary areas on the vertical concrete surface
to create the desired finish of the wall system.
g. Optional: The concrete shall be colored using the QC WALL LINER
COLORING SYSTEM. See the various Product Information Bulletins for specific installation
procedures.
h. The concrete surface may be sealed, following wall liner removal,
necessary detail work and coloring as specified, in accordance with manufacturer's
recommendations.
